The Untamed Society ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of our users, especially given that our platform serves families with children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our homeschool education platform.

  • Usage Data: Information about how you use the Service, including feature usage counts and session activity.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and personalize the educational content and tools

  • To generate age-appropriate, tailored learning materials
  • To apply neurodivergent accommodations to generated content
  • To track usage for subscription tier limits
  • To improve the Service and develop new features

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our Service is designed for use by parents and guardians of homeschool students. Account holders must be at least 18 years old. Student profile information is entered and managed by the parent/guardian account holder. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All student data is controlled by the parent/guardian and can be deleted at any time through the account settings.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with Google OAuth. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth: For account authentication (optional)
  • Facebook Login: For account authentication (optional). When you use Facebook Login, we only access your public profile information (name, profile picture) and email address to create and manage your account. We do not post to Facebook or access any other Facebook data.
  • Supabase: For data storage and authentication
  • Stripe: For payment processing and subscription management
  • OpenAI / AI Providers: For generating educational content (worksheets, tutoring, lesson plans)
  • Vercel: For hosting and deployment

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

7. AI Content Generation

When you use our AI-powered features, your prompts and student profile information (grade level, learning preferences, neurodivergent needs) may be sent to AI service providers to generate personalized content. We minimize the personal information shared with these providers and do not send student names or identifying information in AI prompts.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information only: (a) with service providers who assist in operating the Service (as listed above); (b) if required by law or legal process; (c) to protect our rights or the safety of our users.
